FAQ

  • Does honey "expire" or need refrigeration?
No! Your raw honey should never expire or "go bad" as long as the lid is kept on securely when not in use and stored correctly. You do not want to add moisture or cross contaminate while using scooping devices (ie: spoons, dippers, etc). Raw honey does not require refrigeration, but honey will crystallize faster in cooler temperatures. To remove these crystals, you can bring the honey back to its regular state by adding the jar to a warm water bath and stirring the honey gently until it reaches its liquid form.
  • My honey has crystalized or turned cloudy, is it still safe to eat?
Yes! Honey that has started to crystalize can sometimes look cloudy or can become more solid. It is completely safe to eat and can be easily returned to liquid form if desired. Place the jar in a sink or bowl of hot water to a level just below the lid of the jar. Let the honey slowly warm up and it will return to liquid. Repeat as necessary.
